MechCombat video from RoboGames 2009
« on: June 21, 2009, 10:20:42 AM »
MechWarrior Combat at RoboGames 2009. Robots fire airsoft guns, hitting sensor targets on the opposing robot. And for those old enough to remember the game, I used the old MechWarrior II music for it . . .

They had an article about this in Robot Magazine a couple issues back...

The weight limit is 5kg. Depending on how many legs the robot has with also determine how many sensors are on you robot. They are peizoelectic, transmitting data wireless to determine how many points are received. (I think it's 1 sensor per leg).

Jon Highlands was at the robot buildfest in Brampton last saturday. I didn't know he was supposed to go to RoboGames, so I didn't ask. All I know is that he was laid off from his full time job and his part time robotic research job became full time job (yeah, lucky! full time job of robotic research...).
Check out the uBotino robot controller!
