hey thats easy just attach the wires to the switches and then to the motors give power to the motors and move them around using switches

double poled switches are necessary
Check out the Roboduino, Arduino-compatible board!

this is pretty much depends on what motors u are using
using servos are the easiest but you have to modify it to make full turns so you bot can go forward
using dc motors is not a bad idea but you have to attach a break circuit for the motor to stop
usually they give it a fast reverse high voltage but its not always a good idea cuz it doesnt provide ya precise motion.
you can also use steppers but that would be a little more complicated for a beginner to program it ,but it still pretty precise
another dis of it is that it could be a little more expensive that the other two

servos !=easiest.

2 gearmotors + 2 DPDT switches + some bateries and wire =easiest

yeah. gearmotors are DC motors with integrated gearboxes

dc motors with high torque are geared like in servos

there is alsways a compromise between speed and torque.

The motors are easiest because you can just have them, a battery and a couple of switches to make it go. If you use a servo, then you need a microcontroller and programming and everything else that goes with it.
