robot project

Need help woth building a robot waver unit. Existing motors are gearmotors and much too noisy.
Robot will be about 7' high.
Here's what I had so fsar.. not happy.

so you want it to make it's hand...

just use a servo and have a microcontroller make it move backand forth
robot will rule the world and i will be building them

Hmmmm thats really really noisy . . . Try and grease up all the joints, and also add lube to the motor gears.

If there is vibration in your parts (sheet metal makes noise when vibrated), try to make them more rigid.

You could also use some sound absorbing foam, but just make sure it doesn't block heat escaping from your motors - or they will fry . . .
