Best Sensors for line followers
« on: January 13, 2010, 11:22:53 PM »
Out of these three which one is the best for line follower and edge detecting. But primarily for line following.
QRB1113
QRB1114
CNY70

Thanks

Links and/or specifications please. I don't think there's a single human being that memorizes part numbers for fun.

I can... for some basic parts... And there are also a lot other... (especially for those old HC series...)

When the first two if my memory is alright are from Fairchild.
The QRB1113 is quite small in package or better it got very small plastic package.
I used the QRB1114 for a lot of time plus encoders and line followers...
And it's just very good. I mean very good. Quite adjustable and small enough to fit everywhere.

I haven't used the QRB1113 directly but I think there aren't any other differences apart from the package
and maybe lens.

Also I've seen the CNY70 in many line-edge sensors, but haven't used it personally.

As for me... QRB1114 is tested to work just nicely, in many places. Do as you wish.
