$50 PCB help

by any chance is there any wiring for the $50 PCB that wasn't shown soldered in the tutorial?
also, are the two top pins I am pointing to soldered together, same with the bottom two.


also, I was wondering if it would be possible put 5 IR LEDs and receivers on the front of the $50 dollar robot and make it navigate a maze.

so like if if an LED on the right detected that there would't be another wall for a while, it would turn the right until the IR at the very front detected no wall, then it would go forward and repeat.

no there shouldnt be any faults in the tutorial, many people would have found it by now ;) with your maze question. i dont really understand what you mean?

my question is is the top two pins I am pointing too soldered together, the same with the bottom two I am pointing too.
I just wanted to make sure because the lighting made it hard to be sure.

The bottom ones are soldered together. That's the 5v for the programmer (If I remember correctly).

You can see from the dot schematic that both the top two pins and the bottom two pins should be connected.

nope power buses are at the top of piv and to the left of that. otherwise there would be a bridge between gnd and +5v ;)

Please make sure the information you post is correct - the bottom two pins are connected as Trumpkin posted. Those are not the power buses, it's the 10 pin programming header.

Yes you are 100% correct. The top two are AVCC and AREF which should be connected.
