Post by: nanotechopolis_gr on July 01, 2013, 03:27:57 PM
hi all!
i have a device that has 2 usb 2.0 outputs one @1A and the other @2A  , its possible to connect them? i mean the +5v into one or its any danger from the diferent current? the use that i want to do is to power up some servos that works at 7V! is there any way with regulators if the above exist? or i have to use them separetaly?
thanks !

You cannot connect them in series, to generate 10V, if that's what you want to know.
You may or may not be able to connect them in parallel, depending on specifics of the implementation.

Note that the A rating is "max power deliverable" -- power supplies do not "push" amps into circuits; circuits "draw" amps, and if they try to "draw" more amps than the rating, something will go "squish." (That's a technical term :-)
