RF Transmitter/Reciever
« on: September 29, 2009, 03:34:32 PM »
I am thinking of buying http://www.robotshop.us/on-shine-low-cost-tx-rx-1.html but I don't know how it hooks up. I want PC to roboduino control. Any tutorials, links, or info would be great. Thanks.

For the PC side, you will either need a serial shifter or some kind of UART to USB device so that you computer can see or send the data.

Do they have a serial shifter on robotshop? I couldn't seem to find one.

I didn't take a look but they probably do. Its called an FT232R breakout board - or a TTL to USB converter. Sparkfun has them.
Check out the Roboduino, Arduino-compatible board!
