Title: Thought I would share what I am working on now.
Post by: Daibo on August 13, 2011, 10:49:20 AM
Robot Head (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxIhDdTGJY8#ws)

Controlled by the Axon 2 and 3 servos. I hooked everything thing up just to mess around a bit. Eyelids and a mouth are next, along with a couple of sensors. Alittle bit of redesigning is order too(one eye is just a little taller than the other).

Pretty slick.  How did you achieve the actuation of the mouth?  Are you using a servo to do that?

Nice work!

The camera wasn't mine, so I had know idea how to work  :P.

Yes I used servos. 4 Hitec HS-311. Two for the eyes, one for the head swivel, and one for the mouth. For the mouth, I centered the servo-attached a horn at 90 degrees and then with a piece of acrylic attached to that, mounted it to the back of the bottom of the mouth. The servo it self is mount to the back side of plate you can see in the picture.
