H Bridge Control?
« on: May 29, 2009, 08:10:56 PM »
Hello. I am interested in building my own h bridge to control the motors, but I am unsure how i would control it with say... a remote control? I was wondering what kind of IC I would have to get to interpret the signals, and how I would code it. Is there a tutorial on how to program specific things (im new to C but would like to learn)?

Thanks for all your help!

remote control you will just need a receiver and a motor controller if you use dc motors.
if you use servos you wont need the motor controller.
take a look at http://www.societyofrobots.com/remote_control_robot.shtml to get an idea of what you will need.

Does this mean I would have to buy those expensive motor drivers? Or can I make something myself similar to that?

well, you can make your own out of some transistors...
how much current do the motors you want to use draw? and what voltage?
