Title: hey a little help with construction for a noob
Post by: SmAsH on January 10, 2008, 04:52:32 PM: ok well im doing my second robot now....$50 robot and im really low on money and i have two mechanno motors lying around are they all the same voltage cuz one has smaller wires than the other...are they all the same? and if so what voltage?
ps: if anyone has an exact part list for the $50 robot plzz post it or a link...i cant seem to find all the parts...
and for the mocrocontroller do i need that little base thing if so where in aus can i get it...

Also please post pics or part numbers, that will help us find out the voltage ratings!

Post by: SmAsH on January 10, 2008, 05:02:27 PM: ok the wires are thinner..the one has two wire in one and the other has two wires that are the same thickness each equalling the other...sounds odd hey..ill post some pics now

if by the little base thing you mean the prototyping board, you can find it in any jaycar store (actually, they have most of the stuff)

Post by: Trumpkin on January 19, 2008, 07:16:14 PM: yeah it's a microcontroller the dip socket is what you plug the microcontroller into. You can get the dip socket at digikey I reccomend you get 1.

if atmega=use socket

and atmega=microcontroller

than microcontroller=use socket

where can I get a DIP H bridge as a free sample, i just need one that can handle 2- 5 amps

whats cool is that this time when I sample an IC , I might actually buy in bulk later on for my new project which might be made into a kit .... **secret ** ;)
