Ok I am fixing the servo and then I plug it into my unprogrammed microcontroler that I just finished soldering a week or so ago and I plug the battery pack in. The sevo doesnt spin and the led doesnt light up on the board and I did every step right in solering the microcontroler. What did I do wrong?

I never did that project but if the MCU is un-programed it seems that would be the logical reason.

I have this same problem.
I am using the 4.8v pack and the 9volt.
i plugged in my hs-311 servo, and nothing.
I even uploaded the servo centering hex to the atmega8, and still...nothing..
the LED doesnt light up either.
please help.

nevermind! just had to detach the robot from the programmer!
the LED still doesnt work though =(

the led is not supposed to light up until programmed!! neither are the servos supposed to turn. sometimes the servos will turn when you first turn it on tho. and if those are modified servos they shouldn't turn when you are using the modify servo code.

the led is not supposed to light up until programmed!!
Yeah I saw that in another post by admin that the LED is controlled by the programming not the voltage.
I only have the modify servo hex loaded up right now. I doubt there is any programming in there to light the LED.

I know. I didn't say anything about that.

It obvious you need to program other wise it has no commands to work with, if you ca'nt program make it RC
