i need help with my motor driver!!
« on: March 01, 2011, 10:00:46 PM »
hello,

Im new to the robotics world, and im trying to add a homemade motor driver to my atmega168 board i made with the help of societyofrobots.com. my basic motor driver concept is to control two standard dc motor with two i/o ports in which they hook up to, and an i/o port to which my power supply will be connected to. im using a sn754410 quadruple half-h driver to control two standard dc motors for a robot tank. i dont know much about motor drivers but i kind of have an idea on how they work. i just need help in hooking up my motor driver to my atemga168 board. i yet dont know what should be connected to which pins on the atmega168 mc.

          plzzz help me!

Did you check the datasheet? It tells you the pin details and some technical stuff.

I found a good explanation for SN754410 pin connections at hobbyengineering.

You should NOT connect any I/O pins to the power supply!!

Please post a schematic of how you connected things up.

Søren

A rather fast and fairly heavy robot with quite large wheels needs what? A lot of power?
Please remember...
Engineering is based on numbers - not adjectives
