mobile robot motor problem

Hi guys ,
I am currently doing a project using tamiya gear box with motor for my mobile robot.
The major problem that i face is that the motor don seems like able to run the robot.
Do u guys have any suggestion to solve this problem?







Is changing the motor a good way of solving?

Well, if you mean the motor can't move the robot because its not strong enough. Then yes, you will need to upgrade the motor or reduce the robot weight.

I change the gear ratio from 58:1 to 208:1 , resulting in a higher torque and lower rpm. Problem solved  :)

What is the recommended way for bi-directional communication (wireless) with user controller ? i need to get some data from mobile robot while asking the robot to do some job.
I need some circuit/schematics .

For wireless it is best to buy RF modules as designing and building them is not trivial. If you need bi-direction communication then the choice is either modules with full bi-directional capability or modules on different frequencies one to send to the robot and one to receive from the robot.

SparkFun has various RF modules that would work.
