I've been looking into Kodak for some time now, their sensors are more than fine really...Thing is... how do I get my hands on one...

What I'm curious to find is whether I can find a supplier of CCD chips... I mean only the chips,not the optics not nothing.
Problem is... I want to play with both!

I mean only the chips,not the optics not nothing.Hamamatsu makes both CCD's and CMOS IIRC and Sony would be another option (I have a wicked Sony chip - active area of around 35x40mm, but sadly I haven't been able to find any data on it at all).I think the best way of getting a chip is by emailing some manufacturers and ask if you can buy a sample of one or two that you find interesting - much easier than finding a retailer and you might get lucky.
