Title: how do i solve this?

as i try to programme the 50$ robot using avrasp an error comes up.
avrdude: error: programm enable: target doesn't answer. 1
avrdude: initialization failed, rc=-1
         Double check connections and try again, or use -F to override
         this check.can anyone help?

Have you double checked the connections, like the message says?
Have you configured the computer with the right setup so it sees the usbasp?
Does the board have power?
Are there other peripherals connected to the MISO, MOSI and SCK pins?
Does it still not work if you detach and re-attach the programmer from the computer?
