is the axon good enough?
« on: July 05, 2009, 05:28:51 PM »
I am doing a project where the robot goes around looking for an object and then goes to the object. I am planning on using vision tracking using Intel's libraries. The way I am planning to have it set up is that the camera outputs the image directly to the computer and then the computer analyzes it for the object and the computer tells the microcontroller where to go- so what i am wondering is whether the Axon microcontroller is able to give feedback to the computer and receive commands from the computer?

Also is there something cheaper than the axon that will do the something, or something for the same price that is better?

Arduino has USB support like the axon, so you could use that instead.

Depends purely on the amount of processing power you need on the microprocessor.
