Title: 3D Printers Go Mainstream With Hewlett Packard
Post by: Admin on January 29, 2010, 05:53:08 AM
I just published my latest article up at IEEE Spectrum Automaton:

http://spectrum.ieee.org/automaton/consumer-electronics/gadgets/3d-printers-go-mainstream-with-hewlett-packard (http://spectrum.ieee.org/automaton/consumer-electronics/gadgets/3d-printers-go-mainstream-with-hewlett-packard)

I give it about a year before we hear about it again with specs and a price. Patience!

Don't you just love the constant march of technology? :D

someday engineers will not have to worry about time to market or supply chains. Just make the design perfect and then upload it to the internet. You buy a license (of course there will be DRM in it) to print x amount of the design and then after a few hours your new 25th generation ipod is ready to go.

then people like us will be on to the next bleeding edge experimenting with light based computers and advanced AI.
