we are doing this project in java.. we give inputs like voice commands such as move forward, stop, reverse, left, right etc and robot is required to act accordingly.. so we are planning to integrate a camera with the robot.. which wireless camera should i buy? how to transfer the captured video to the system?

If you want a wireless camera, search ebay for good stuff:
http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=wireless+camera&_sacat=See-All-Categories

But for reliable video with low interference, I recommend a wireless IP camera:
http://www.google.com/products?q=wireless+ip+camera&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbo=u&tbs=shop:1&

for example:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16881102017&nm_mc=OTC-Froogle&cm_mmc=OTC-Froogle-_-Surveillance+-+Cameras-_-Trendnet-_-81102017

There are adapters that let you attach video output by USB to a computer:
http://www.google.com/search?q=vga++to+usb+adapter&hl=en&tbs=shop:1&aq
Get a quality one, as the cheap ones have poor frame rates.
