Title: 3D obstacle scanner
Post by: farnoise on October 25, 2012, 07:14:58 AM
Hello,
Does anyone know a basic tutorial on 3D scanners on robots? I would like to build a basic scanner on my robot so it can sense the object and create a 3D model as it goes let say if It's in a dark room NO LIGHTING AT ALL I can see objects around it. I just have no idea where to start, any hints would be great help.

I would praise you if you can help me :)

Thanks a lot

Did You try Google? --> diy 3d scanner (https://www.google.co.uk/#about:blank) :)

Does anyone know a basic tutorial on 3D scanners on robots?
I don't think You'll find any, as 3D scanning, especially from a mobile robot, is not a trivial task and does not fall into basic category.
