Title: Good movies about AI
Post by: Cognaut on December 11, 2006, 07:31:03 PM
There are a lot of good movies about AI.  One in particular that I would offer as a deeply satisfying philosophical movie is called Dopamine.

Others that I've enjoyed are on the usual list:  The Matrix, Bicentennial Man, Blade Runner, West World, etc.  There was also that one with Huey, Dewey and Louie - I never remember the name of that one.

I'm listing Dopamine as my number one pick.  How'bout ya'll?  What movie would you recomend that might be "off the beaten path?"

Can't forget the "Terminator" series on the "obvious" list.  Hmmm.. funny how Hollywood seems to directly associate AI with the Apocalypse.

Others:
Red Planet
Short Circuit
I, Robot

I'll have to check out "Dopamine".. never heard of it as a movie, only as a "feel good" neurotransmitter.

What about 'Flight of the Navigator'?
