Apparently cars have nearly 100 microcontrollers and almost 100 million lines of code . . . predictions estimate that in the next ten years or so 50% the cost of a car will be the electronics systems. Sounds like they're hiring robotics engineers

Not if they're going out of buisiness; the big three are not doing very well right now.  However, if Toyota or Honda are doing this (which they have been for years), we can finally create and have driverless cars...
