Title: Smallest LCD available
Post by: allahjane on September 23, 2012, 09:05:08 AM
Hi  ;D, i wanted to know which is the smallest LCD (Greyscale) available that i can interface with avr micro-controllers.

KINDLY NOTE THAT I DO NOT MEAN 7 SEGMENT DISPLAY  >:(!!!   *** I MEAN LCD SCREEN (PIXELIZED)***

to be more clear I'm trying to make a wrist watch that has LCD in place of needles and that LCD need to display more information than just digits.

Also i need the LCD to be very thin so that it leaves space for other components inside the watch case.

and please don't refer to any state of the art $100 LCD!! I'm poor for that  :'(

Kindly advice me

Thank you

Hi,

Why not use an LCD from an old Nokia 3310/3330 - they're very easy to control.
