hi, on the line following robot, it uses a photoresistor. could you use a sharp IR range finder to follow lines without having to change the programming code?

The Sharp rangefinder is a rangefinder. It can't detect the difference between the line and anything around it, it only measures distance. It's like trying to see color with your hands
