Title: WTB - Hero 1 and Hero 2000
Post by: Dark Side Sith Lord on March 29, 2009, 01:51:51 PM
Hello.

I want to get some of the Heathkit robots, Hero 1 and Hero 2000, but not the arm trainer. If anyone has any of these robots they would like to sell, then please let me know. I want them to be fully original with no broken parts or custom modifications. I want to find one through this forum instead of scavenging Ebay for these as they usually get many many bids, so most likely I won't be able to win an auction over there as I don't have the time to watch bids.

EDIT - Hero Jr. bought.

Thanks.

Dark Side Sith Lord.

I own a Heathkit Hero Jr.  It comes with three games, but I've been trying to find the charger to see if it still works well.  Do you know where to get one?  I want to sell it, but want to make sure it works as well as the last time I used it.

Thank you

Hello. Thanks for letting me know. I hope you can find the charger then, if not it should be possible to get one or make one. Please send me a private message about how much you want for it.

Hero Jr. has been bought on Fleabay ;D
I actually wanted to buy the Modulus robot first, then Hero 1, Hero Jr., then Hero 2000, but since the Modulus robot is as rare as a bone sample from Jimmy Hoffa, buying Hero Jr. now will not drag too much on my Modulus savings, and I will have the same amount or more when I find that robot.

It might have cost a lot for shipping, and the robot itself was a bit more expensive than they usually are, but that's probably because it came with a whole bunch of extra stuff and manuals in great condition, and accoarding to the seller the robot's state is the same as when he bought it, so it should be good.

Hello there.

My Hero Jr came with the charger, but I had to convert another European one to use for it, so I'm all set on that part, but thanks anyway. I might buy a Hero 1 from someone who's lost the charger, so maybe the place you know sells chargers for Hero 1 too?

Hello

If there is something you need for your Heathkit robots and others then check this guy out at http://www.robotswanted.com/ (http://www.robotswanted.com/)
His name is Robert Doerr and he owns the rights and has bought up all of the old stock from heathkit. If has just about everything that you could want.

Good luck

John

Oh yeah, I've talked to him plenty of times and know about his Hero robot rights and all that. Then I guess he would be my best chance of getting replacement parts then. Right now I'm just about to buy a series of Modulus robots, so might get the other Hero's later on.

One fully upgraded HERO 1 will be bought soon, so now I'm just looking for HERO 2000.
I'm not sure if I can buy HERO 2000 right away since I'm saving for a rare robot named Modulus,
but please let me know anyway if you want to sell me one.

Thanks.

Good luck, there is a Hero 2000 on eBay right now but just the robot and nothing else.

I'm in the market for one of the Hero Jr. cartridges right now myself.
