Servo Bracket
« on: June 14, 2009, 04:05:54 PM »
Hi there,
I want to build servo bracket like the one here:  http://www.lynxmotion.com/images/Products/Full/asb04.jpg

But I'm not sure about the thickness of my aluminum sheet. 1/32" or 1/16" ?  I want it to be easy to bend but don't want it to be too filmsy.
What is your recommandation ?

Thanks

well, when i build my "makeshift" servo brackets i just grab what i can from school but 2-3mm works great!
you can bend it with a hammer or even your hands if you don't cut yourself!
and its not flimsy! according to my ruler you will want around 1/8
Howdy

Well, I think 1/8 is way too much...
and I think 1/32 is too thin and 1/16 already too much.
So I think I'll go for 1mm thick, that is 0.4"
Moreover, that size is available in anodized black. With the color of the servo, it's going to be awesome !
I want to be able to make nice dending.

What do you think ?
