Linux Robotics Book
« on: January 22, 2009, 09:38:39 AM »
Looking to purchase a book about Linux Robotics
So far I've only found this one : http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=linux+robotics&oe=utf-8&cid=7098329598462452823#ps-sellers

Can anyone recommend a better one?
Check out the Roboduino, Arduino-compatible board!

I have that book. But I also think I have allready told someone on this forum about it. You may find the message through the search...

Anyway, it uses Java to program the robot, it uses a Via Epia motherboard and Gentoo Linux. There is voice recognition but not webcam vision. It uses a AVRcam for color blob finding, so I was dissapointed. It is good to read it, perhaps try at a local library.
Check out the uBotino robot controller!
