« on: October 21, 2008, 03:15:20 PM »
Hey guys I'm new to the whole robot thing, i read some tutorials and stuff, and i would like to know what is a good program for beginners ? (e.g. BASIC stamp, PIC,...) and in case those are not programs, i know i am new and not smart. By the way, I'm on a PC, also by the way, if you know any good projects, motors, wheels, MCs, etc for beginners, PLEASE POST.

Try the $50 robot tutorial. By programs do you mean programming languages? C is a good language to learn.

BASIC stamp, PIC
No, those are not "programs".

Hi,

Basic stamp are very easy to begin in robotic (qick start), but you rapidly needs more functionality & I think that ATMEL series with AVR Studio4 (for free) is very scalable approach from "basic" ATMEGA8 to "huge" ATMEGA256.
