Put an axle through the wheel and you're done  ;)
The wheels on the omni-wheel are... well, already attached. All you have to do is mount the omni wheel and it's done.

If instead you are asking "How do I do necessary calculations to properly predict and control the movement from omnidirectional wheels?", then that is a whole 'nother story! It depends on what kind of wheels and how you are mounting them to your robot, as well as how many you have. Share more information and this and I can help you then.

well i was going to have two on each side because the body is squared. And i was going to use servo's with them. i don't know what wheel i'm going to use. do you have any advice witch ones i should use.

I believe... correct me if I'm wrong... that you can't go very fast with omni-directional wheels.... right?

Eventually you'll hit a speed where the rollers on the omniwheel are spinning fast enough that they do not have enough grip to grab the ground, causing the robot to slide. Typically this is a high speed though. If you compared this to typical wheels, however, then yes, omniwheels do have a lower top speed. This is usually not problematic, however.

The significant "problem" with omniwheels is that since the wheels are designed to allow the wheel to slide in any direction save the axis that it is being turned on without power, that it can also be easily PUSHED side to side.

get the poly rubber omniwheels not the nylon (no grip orange) ones from acroname.com

yeah I'm not saying that tyler2z1 or whatever his forum name is shouldn't you know try to build something bye himself I'm just saying my first bot that I finished could only drive around... plus omni wheels with a little size to them can be very expensive

TyLEr71, I just read a bunch of your forum questions . . . please read all of my tutorials before asking any more. Every single question you asked is answered in my tutorials. Its not fair to me and the other experts to spend time answering obvious questions when we should be spending our time on the difficult questions by people who did their homework! :P

Now to answer your question . . . look at the half dozen robots/tutorials I've made that use omni-wheels, they'll show you how to connect them ;)

argh, click on the "Society of Robots" link at the top of the page, that will take you to the tutorials. And yes, they were made by Admin.

Also, there is a neat search engine called google:

http://www.google.com/search?q=attach+omni+wheel
http://images.google.com/images?q=attach+omni+wheel

Notice how the very first result answers your question :P

http://www.acroname.com/robotics/info/ideas/omnimod/omni_mod.html

And don't forget about the search button at the top of *every* forum page and *every* tutorial page:
