Title: My UAV project
Post by: random robots on July 26, 2010, 01:21:01 PM
as some of you know, I'm planning a uav project. any inputs are appreciated. ill try to upload my CAD as soon as i can figure out how to embed it.
Does anyone know how to embed a Google sketchup CAD saved in documents? that would be a huge help.

Open the cad, take a screenshot of it, paste it into paint, save as jpeg then upload to tinypic?

try this

file > export > 2D graphic and save as a image file, jpeg or png etc and upload to the forum via the attachments at the bottom.

what ever is visable in the drawing plan will be captured in the jpeg.

hope this works for you

heres my dart launcher design-(http://i31.tinypic.com/14uf7sk.png)
the squiggly lines are springs and the humps will go in and out by a servo to only let out the dart when you want it to.centered servo- humps out, blocks missle, uncentered servo- humps in, missle passes. the springs shoot the dart out of the launcher.

Even though it isn't very dangerous I would HIGHLY recommend not to put a missile launcher on the UAV or even post your intentions to do it. Currently UAVs are a very controversial topic, but thankfully in the USA there has not been any serious incident with them. But one incident and BAM all RC planes and UAVs will be severely cut down.

sorry, it was just an idea to shoot nerf darts. i don't think i put it correctly. i won't do it though if its a bad idea or dangerous.

pinchers- (http://i26.tinypic.com/33xv8cn.png)
pinchers for landing. battery's low, robot finds wall, crashes, pushes of wall, lands on ground. simple.

have any of you ever had problems with the LM339 comparator? because mine are not working. I need to know if they don't work at all, or mine were defects.
