Hi everyone,
I am new to robotics and I am looking for some advice.
I have a bit of experience in hardware design using fpgas(field programmable gate arrays) and I am planning to use them for controlling robots. I am about to get a new Digilent Atlys board :
http://www.robotshop.com/ca/digilent-atlys-spartan-6-fpga-development-kit.htmland I am hoping to get a robot-car which has a movable arm as well and which can be remotely controlled (say via bluetooth) or wired control by rs232.
I am kind of bored with static prototyping and want something which can move about and do things icon_smile
Since I am not aware of the kits available in the US for "car+movable arm+remote control", I am hoping someone more knowledgeable can give me some advice on what to buy.
I guess since the processing stuff can be done on the FPGA, the robot can be just "dumb" & receive signals for its motors from the FPGA. I have been looking at

Thanks
