Cool First Robot

Well i just found this sight and have been looking at making a robot so i starting looking at this site and found some "ok" robots but what is a cool easy robot for a first robot and im still in school so i dont have the most money so

not necessarily true, my first real robot was Chives the butler robot

a robot that shoots an object
r/c robot with a camera
simple robot arm
joystick controlled gun aimer and shooter ( toy gun mounted on tilt and pan servos)

if you start small you will learn better and not struggle ( i struggled a lot with Chives , waaaay too much hours online researching)

ya i like the gun idea, i was looking though the forums and saw the robot that follows a target (cant remember what it was called) so would combining those be to much for my first one or no.
i was thinking a mounted gun with that following thing and make it remote control would that be to complicated??

switching from anonymous to remote control isn't the hardest thing but defiantly not the easyest

i get what you mean but i was thinking more along the lines of being able to switch between like a button or something on the robot that lets me eather have controle of the gun or its movement somthing more along those lines... i think... idk ill mess around with some stuff to come up with a design mabey it will work or mabey it will be way to complicated and ill restart till i get somthing that works moderatly well (or atleast moves)
