Title: Switching Power Supply

Hi all,

I am going to build a robotic arm using actuators and DC geared motors (planetary and worm). Now I was wondering is I can use a switching power supply such as the one in the link below. Or are such supplies sensitive to be used for such application?
Can someone advice me please?

As long as the total draw of the motors is less than the rated current of the power supply, and the power supply is actually capable of supplying the rated current, that should work fine.

Thanks for the reply. The reason why I am asking is because I contacted two seller, one telling me that it is not good for such application and the other was not sure. I better be sure before spending money on such supply. Any more opinions please? had someone ever used a switching power supply to power a normal DC motor? (not the small DC motors)
