yes i have googled it, gone to every electronics store in my area. and searched online. i couldnt find anything had had good shipping to aus...are they essential? if so does anyone know where i can get them in australia?

do what i do. get a long screw and aquarium tubing cut to length and use it as a spacer

The one inch stand offs are available at hobbyengineering.com for 2.99$. Their website says that they handle international shipments.

Just go to your local hardware store and check the fasteners aisle. I got a ton of diff sized hex and round standoffs for under $5.

there are many ways to make levels of pcb's. standoff arent the only way

yea i decided to use, i dont know what they're called. but the things you put under concrete...just cut those poles to size...although it got me chased by an angry builder.. ;D

the problem with google is it isnt a good dicionary, as the computer cant thing that... oh, the things put under concreat are rebar that is put IN concreat, the only like words are that is and concrete

lol one of the results for rebar was a guy getting hit in the nuts with a rebar ... ouch
