Title: programming atmega16 mcu

for my 1st project i have decided to use atmel atmega16 mcu since iam a beginner i will not go into doing much research about different mcu's and stick to the atmega series only

nw my problem is although i have decided which mcu to buy but i dont know how to program it and then how to test each sensors and servos to know exactly how to perfect the algorithm so anyone here who can help, plzz do post and tell me how to overcome my problem

(PS:I know c and c++ programming very well and have been doing it for the last 5 years but no experience with hardware)

since you know about c then its easy to learn embedded c ,search the net for a tutor
