what resisotor?
« on: June 23, 2011, 12:03:27 PM »
Hi,

does anyone know which resistor go with the photoresistors in the 50 buck project (340 ohm vs. 1.6 kohm)? I couldnt find anywhere Also, does it affect the robot in any way - I mean, can the software cope with both possibilities?

Thanks a lot
Mike

The resistor will depend on the resistance of the LDR. Measure the LDR value at max. light and max. darkness it will see and use a resistor value that is at the percentile middle.
That way it will have the largest range possible (as long as the value isn't adjusted dynamically, which would be a project in it's own right).

A rather fast and fairly heavy robot with quite large wheels needs what? A lot of power?
