I see that I can order the HS-311 Servo with Continuous Rotation. Although it may increase the price of the total robot beyond $50.00. Has anybody had success with this servo option or is it better to just modify it yourself?

the "continuous" HS-311 servo is just a regular HS-311 servo that they modify
modifying servos are extremely easy , not worth the extra cost

Read that . If you are a total noob then use Admin's method of gluing the potentiometer. If you are slightly more experienced and can solder or just want to do it since its so simple - read my tips ( the link I posted). Use that method . Its the best one out there

lol airman00 . . .
I think its more of a personal preference. The glue method is fastest, and no soldering required . . .
