Max current for NiMh cells

What is the max current for NiMh cells?
Is it a fixed value eg: 5A?
Or is it eg: 5 times the capacity?

And are there different types of NiMh cells? ones with large and ones with small maximum currents? Because sometimes I see these big differences in price for same capacity cells...

Its different for each battery . . . to give you an idea, I have a 7.2V pack 2500mAh that has max current of 10A (if I remember right) . . . try and find a datasheet, it should say . . .

battery technology is a fast changing market, so a lot of the price differences are due to market forces and not the actual battery features . . . its sorta like computer pricing . . .
