555CN timer IC from radio shack????????????

Hey, does anybody know how to use a 555CN timer IC that I bought from Radio Shack to make a LED flash and the speed of it depend on a 10K potentiometer and using 5VDC power source?
Any suggestions or schematics are greatly appreciated
