Title: Infared Sensor

i have found some infared emitters and detectors from futurelec and what to make some sensors.

What other circuitry do i need.

for short distant senesors and or encoders

Nothing really... Just hook the detector up to an input and the led up to power with a resistor and its all good.
Just make sure the wavelengths of the emitters and detectors and the same

Hi,

If you don't use anything but a couple of resistors, the range will be really short.
