Festo Bionic Learning Network 2009

This is a nice video of robot penguins, robot arms, robot walls, and rapid prototyping robots.

You'll also notice these flexible devices. I use that concept for my robot fish, and I'll be using it much more with my future robot designs.

technology just keeps getting better doesn't it? i love the way that they are creating newer and more realistic things... yet i can't see a use for these? besides something for the defense force like the navy.

Flexible parts have tons of advantages. For example, the suspension wheels on my ERP uses flexible part design. Any robot I make from now on will probably incorporate functional flexible parts.

i guess swarm technology is also taking a leap forward...the molecubes look like they are based on that...but really nature's simple design may prove highly efficient if used on robots..

Yeah, I liked the underwater penguins.

When I saw admins post about the robot penguins, I thought to myself "They better have glowing eyes!"

And YAAAY, they do.
(Might be a little creepy if you came across one of these robot penguins in the water when you are swimming though.)
