Title: *URGENT* need to make modifications for competition
Post by: intwizs on August 30, 2009, 08:30:53 AM
i hav two robots...

one is the 40$ line follower, I haven't adjusted the preset yet so i don't know if it can follow black lines, but right now it can follow white lines

another is an RC controlled bot

the problem:
I need for the autonomous bot to follow the RC bot as i guide it through a maze. Any suggestions?
>>There shoudn't be any physical connections between the two bots
>>and the maze consists of cells, two bots shouldnt be present in the same cell at the same time...

tis is kinda urgent so i'd appreciate d much needed help......please

Hi,

Drive the R/C 'bot through and let it map the maze and transfer the map to the other 'bot by radio, then work on your spelling.

i need to keep both bots in close proximity

well, you can have the lead robot in the next "cube" still sending where it has gone back to the follower robot.

Hi,

Yes, every maze will have a certain cell size. If the R/C drives eg. 2 cells (to avoid them crashing) in front of the (now non autonomous) follower, it can signal back something like "forward, left" to the follower.

I just cannot imagine that it would be allowed in such a competition, as the follower will, for all practical intents, be controlled by you via the R/C?
