This is a lynxmotion robot spider, being remote controlled. The pre-programmed motions are pretty life-like though . . .

That's pretty cool. How many servos are there per leg, and how do they connect to each segment (and to the body) ?

18 total, 3 per leg. The program that they use linked to a Excel spread sheet some how. :o

I'll bet the remote control is as difficult as hell to use!!

I somehow assumed they can rotate around the Z axis, and thus, act as a claw, too. Figures, with 3.
I don't think the RC is difficult to use, I bet it's the standard 4 axis type, and the robot decodes the position of each axis and acts accordingly (sequence of moves for going forward, at a speed related to axis position)

Might be good to add that Lynxmotion didn't design this robot, but they have a kit based on this robot made by Zenta. So yeah, this is also the very original "Phoenix" hexapod!
It's really a great robot!
