The power required to move a boat to a speed is highly dependent on the hull design. I would suggest you start doing a bit of web searching (google) to find design info.
Similar questions have been asked about airplanes and motor needed. I found lots a great design info include online calculators. I would be surprised if similar info is not available for boats.
