Build own RF remote control
« on: November 05, 2009, 04:20:56 AM »
Hi,

I need to build my own remote control for a car. I know we can easily by using a cheap circuit from a remote car. However, I need to do it on my own using TX/Rx circuit.

Searched the forum, google. but did not get enough results. Request anybody here to help me in this. This is my first request and sure you guys would help me on this.

Also if someone can guide me like the 50$ robot, it would be very helpful as it can take me step by step in building the same.

Thanks,
Praveen

MAX323 is an analogue switch. Were you thinking of a MAX232 or MAX3232?

The Tx/Rx pair linked above almost certainly has logic level serial inputs/outputs so you could connect directly to an Arduino. To connect the Tx to a PC or other true RS232 input you would typically use a line driver like the MAX232 to convert down to logic levels.
