Title: compiled video of circuit explosions/fires
Post by: Admin on January 24, 2010, 10:17:27 PM
Picture yourself finishing your latest circuit. You power it up, but nothing happens. So you lean over and look closely to see why. Next thing you know a cap explodes in your face (ie the circuit just bust-a-cap on ya).

Oh and turn up your speakers *before* playing this video!

Wow, just goes to show how much you should pay attention to polarities and ratings of components.

reminds me of inserting a 2v dc mini fan to a regular ac point of 220v.
does anybody knows, what gas is gushing out after burning the caps.

I actually blew up a capacitor over a candle back when I didn't know anything about electronics. (I thought it was a transistor)

RGB LEDs give the best effect. Right before they burn into smoke theres a rush of all colors flying around in there, quite similar to fireworks. Coolest burned component ever  8)
