Title: Hubs

I'm wondering what you guys do for motor hubs to attach wheels to motors. I'm looking at a motor with a 10mm shaft (linked below). There are hubs specifically designed for these motors but I need wheels with some tread for better traction. Anyone know of a good site to find all sizes of through shaft wheel hubs?

Not much help to you, I'm afraid, but if I need a hub that's not commonly available (like a 10mm shaft hub), I machine it from 6061-T6 aluminum on my lathe.  :)

Yea I don't have the option to make my own. I have access to a wood working shop but that's it.

Its a pain isn't it. I spent ages trying to find one a while ago. Seem to remember that googling for 'coupling' also came up with some relevant hits.

Here's a possibility...
You can buy something called a gear blank, which is a gear without the teeth.
Stock Drive has some 10mm bore steel D shaft blanks.  There's no set screw, but you could drill and tap for one.  Then drill holes in the face of the blank to attach it to your wheel.  You can easily file a flat on your shaft to fit the D hole.

put a tight washer on it.. or a ruber band stretched tight arough up to it should work

I've been searching for the same thing for Banebots motors, and found hubs on this site:

Hubs for 0.375 inch and 0.5 inch keyed shafts. Should match the banebots motors, although I haven't actually built a drive with these components yet. Now I'd like an 8-inch or 10-inch pneumatic wheel with a flat hub instead of a bearing-type hub, so I can bolt the AndyMark hub to it.

for traction for my wheels I used a trapazoidal cog belt turned inside out.  I wrote a wheel tutorial and that has a link in which you can buy the belting by the foot if you need it.  Buy some, cut it to length and glue it to the outside of your wheel for traction.
