Title: starting kit for robot competition

I'm trying to organize a robot competition for my university.right now, i have to think and equipment to be given for the registration....whats in my head is only starting kit robot (such as sumo bot)...additional  high torque servo motor...and also additional 24v...this competition is for the beginner only...should i be add anything...or this equipment is already okey...

and where can i get this equipment...any suggestions for the suitable shop/web/websites/company/ and suitable price and also type i should be looking on...

Why 24V?! Thats really high! Perhaps 6V will be fine?

usually i use an additional power for the motor...

the robot weight is about 20-30 kg...

ever hears about the international robot competition, ROBOCON ???...My competition is almost like that...only the theme are different...other is most likely the same as that competition....
