« on: March 27, 2013, 06:17:36 PM »
First of all, I know I'm not as good as you and i can't enter top universities. I'm studying computer engineering in Turkey. Next year, i will graduate. But my GPA will be about 2.5(my affair with exams not good at all).  I want go to graduate school for robotics/artificial intelligence in Japan. I know Tokyo university is the best school but it is beyond my dream :( I'm looking at Osaka university. I heard it has good robotics lab. of course, i am looking another schools. what is my chance to enter Osaka or others? if i can not go to japan, i will go elsewhere, so you can suggest any school which i can able to get in.

Hi,

as far as I know, most (perhaps all) Japanese graduate schools do not use GPA for admission. They all uses examination tests.
So, the first thing to do, I think, you should go to any school or program websites you want and see their past entrance exams to see if it's too difficult or not. You even don't graduate. I think there is enough time to prepare (gather information about your interested program, what the range of topics they are tested?, how difficult are they?,...).

The universities in Japan I've often heard are Tokyo,Kyoto,Osaka and Tokyo Institutes of Technology but I think you need to look further at their AI program about their curriculum or how interesting it is, for example.
