Title: $50 board big mystery problem

I have this $50 board and I no idea why it wont work. soldering is good. I think it is the MCU. gotta go right now so will add details and pics soon.

Are you getting power at all? Test the regulated power rails then the unregulated, if you aren't getting the right voltages then you may have soldered the regulator in backwards, and also make sure the capacitor is right too (polarity and all).

Probably what you originally thought then... and I'm just curious, did your MCU go through any trauma?

not that I can remember
maybe I put the MCU in while it was on
also I remember it said not to plug in the programmer while it was on, I did that.
but I didn't drop it or anything
