Post by: metalsriks on January 20, 2010, 10:49:06 AM
i am trying to build an mp3 player using pic mc, and vs1002D mp3 codec..
i want to make the system wireless by including xbee tx and rx.
but zigbee, as i understand, uses half duplex uart data transfer..
so how do i convert the audio output of mp3 player to uart for xbee?

also how do i convert the uart from the receiver xbee to audio signal for the headphone/speaker?
plz help...

The XBee RF modules in general and the ZigBee protocol in particular are intended for low data rate communication. Therefore unless you only require very low quality audio look for a different RF device and protocol.
BlueTooth would be a better fit for audio.

Hi,

Why go through all that trouble, when you can get fairly cheap audio stereo transmitters operating on 2.4GHz, that you just attach Right audio, Left audio and Ground (and power of course) to?
